Scientists and the community now agree that climate change is happening and urgent action is required to reduce emissions and defend us against the effects.
So what is a 'carbon tax' and how will we be paying for it?
How can I avoid the tax by being more sustainable?
How does this help Australia play a role in the global community? Are we too small?
Can we all afford it, or is it that we cannot afford to not put a price on carbon?
Where does the money go?
What is a 'green economy', what will it cost, and is there a place for everyone in it?
Australia is at the crossroads. The Federal Government and the Multi-Party Climate Change Committee (MPCCC) are finalising a major plan and legislation for effective action on climate change.
There is also a lot of confusing misinformation put out there by media shock-jocks, climate change sceptics and powerful carbon reliant industries.
You are invited to this CAPP forum to become better informed, and to ask the experts those questions that will help you make up your own mind on one of the most important issues facing us today.
